setting sun
daytime fading fast
evening grows
Another beautiful winter sunset over Port Phillip Bay from Sandringham cliffs.
We have now passed the Winter Equinox and each evening daylight lingers for a little longer. The birds are becoming a little frisky , Greenhood orchids have flowered and more Wattles are blooming

Superbly allegorical haiku and combination of the challenges.
It has it all – including one of your stunning photos.
I think you hit the bullseye there Denis!

A wonderful photo and haiku. Do you find greenhood orchids around the city?

Thanks Suzanne. We have Greenhoods flowering in our front yard right now, (in a pot) but yes they are to be found in reserves in Beaumaris nearby and if you know where to l,look , along the coastal path

How wonderful to think those bush reserves and coastal tracks I loved as a child still remain. I got married in Cheltenham Park – it was lovely back in the 70s. I hope it’s still there.

Yes, Cheltenham park is still there and part of Bayside City now.
