imagine views
hiding beneath clouds
mysterious
Recently we spent some days in The Grampians/Gariwerd National Park. Most days rain fell, winds blew and clouds dominated the scenery. The birds still performed and wildflowers were blooming however views from lookouts presented new perspectives. This image is from Boroka Lookout and it certainly made us look much more closely at the macro views.
This is my contribution to the 52 week PHOTO CHALLENGE, with MYSTERY this weeks word challenging a talented group of photographers from across the globe. Visit this challenge at https://daffodilwild.wordpress.com/photo-challenge/ and find this weeks sharing on Wild Daffodil’s Home page.
So atmospheric Denis, great for the subject word this week.

I love the atmosphere in this photograph Denis, something magic about walking in the rain among the clouds and you have captured it beautifully in your haiku too.

Thanks Xenia, very different to the mysterious foggy lochs you capture.

Such an amazing shot, Denis. Love the texture you captured on the rock formation against the foggy background. Perfect haiku to make one wonder. ❤

Especially on a rainy day, with no cloud the view is way down a valley. This is the first time I have seen it like this, my wife prefers this one.

I have to say… while I can appreciate the beauty, I would be a bit wonky from the height… Makes me grateful to see the view through YOUR eyes.

There is a strong safe fence Annette, but teenage boys sometimes go out on the ledge, its a few hundred metres below!

The rock with the ledge just looks like a seat for admiring the view!

Great capture Denis. Your picture is beautiful and ominous and fog always lends an air of mystery. Well done.

Thanks Vashti. We had no choice but start photographing the misty, cloudy scenes because there was no sun and views for days.

Thanks Pat. The view on a clear day is shown in this link from a post I did some time ago. Same shot from the same place on a clear day. https://haikuhound.wordpress.com/2015/07/05/gariwerd/

The first thing I thought of was ‘that ledge looks like you could sit on it and dangle your feet’. Apparently, I’m not the only one.:)) Great shots Denis.
