summer born
winner of hearts
sweet maggie
Sunday June 11th was the day Jill and I courageously took up the kind offer of homing Maggie the Afghan pup offered to us by the wonderful Ada and Terry Wilcox. When we first met Maggie in February the litter of 6 were a scrambling, swarming mass of teeth and energy. Even then she had a special personality. On Sunday 2 pups had migrated leaving these 4. As I snapped photos it almost seems Maggie was making the decision to leave the family and venture forth into the wider world at the tender age of 5 and a half months. Watch out for more instalments. AS I post this the little girl is fast asleep beside me on Charlie’s couch
Exciting! I’m so looking forward to reading of Maggie’s antics.

It might also be mine Sandra. Just back from the third long walk of the day and this one included a 400 metre mobile play time with another pup down a long narrow Oak park (both on leads). What fun!!!!!

Ha Ha!! You paint a good picture – I can imagine you having to be nimble and dodging fluffy legs, leads and other obstacles.

And this is day 5 Sandra, but she is sleeping sweetly on her couch as I sit at the computer.

She does seem to be choosing you in these photos – how lovely! The great love you had for your other sweet hound has led you to Maggie.

She is Sue. At the moment she is mainly running me ragged, but I wear her out by lunchtime. The young possum is in the process of eviction and the noise scares Maggie a bit. She will get used to it all in time.

Aw, such a happy puppy. How is Charlie taking it? 🤣

Charlie died in February last year, I have been making some memory posts for her during the last year . Maggie shares the same father as Charlie through artificial insemination.

O I am so sorry. I mistakenly thought the bigger dog was Charlie.

A winner of hearts most of the time, certain destructive behaviours in the garden during her morning mad puppy play time stretch the limits.

Well I’ve had/have two puppies…it’s been a learning as I grew up with no pets and spent most of my adult life with no pets so I’ve had to adapt and loosen up for the little ones.

No worries Richard. It does amuse me. Just a moment ago I typed in a blogger I follow called Beaton and it decided to make it Beat On! Lol.

We all battle auto correct. Tell me Marje how it created Richard out of Denis, that is a very cheeky auto correct.

That’s me being daft Denis, I had just been talking to Richard Ankers (who has a great poetry/writing blog – in case you don’t know of him,) about auto correct too, and had his name on my mind! We’re all slipping up at the moment! Lol…

Welcome Denis. Ha ha, I’m getting forgetful sent you this twice, at least I made up for that by adding Richard’s link 🙂

OMG I’m losing it! Had just been talking to my blogging friend Richard about the same problem and wrote his name by mistake. The mysteries of autocorrect have been revealed, or not as the case may be. Sorry, Denis, I hope you didn’t mind being a Richard for a short while! In fact I think you might like Richards blog (if you aren’t already following him): https://richardankers.com. He writes poetry and wonderful descriptive prose.
