sleeping pups too hot for biting teeth at rest
Two of Maggies siblings at 8 weeks of age on a hot Summer’s day. Maggie was still on her feet at this stage harrassing some other sleeping pups. Afghan Hounds spend most of their time in these poses, often on their backs, on couches or beds in Maggie’s case.

Such a relief when those busy teeth are at rest! Dogs are so cute when they are sleeping…young and old.

Maggie’s breeders contacted us when her litter was born and said they had one, (her) for us if we wanted her. The visit 8 weeks later sealed our fate even though we had decided No more dogs after Charlie died.

This is a favourite Afghan Hound sleeping pose. Maggie sleeps like this most of the time.
